paradise lost

A CANADIAN STAGE PRODUCTION
A THEATRICAL ADAPTATION OF PARADISE LOST BY JOHN MILTON

APR 9 - 18
In the depths of Hell, the recently, embarrassingly defeated Satan is plotting her revenge on the cocky God, the Father. The plan: to defile his precious new creations—the naïve, idealistic, perhaps dimwitted—Adam and Eve, while disguised as a serpent. While the tale of good and evil may be a familiar one, you have never seen it told quite like this before.

One of the greatest stories ever told, John Milton’s epic 17th century poem bursts from high school English Lit class onto the stage. With Erin Shields’s sardonic—and abridged—adaptation, blended with Milton’s original words, the piece has never felt fresher or more relevant.

“Extremely funny and stingingly contemporary.”

- TORONTO STAR

The classic story of the battle between Heaven and Hell gets an irreverent retelling.
