ABOUT THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and financial administration of the production-related areas for the Canadian Stage.
Key Relationships
- Member of the Production Department.
- Reports directly to the Director of Production and Operations.
- Assists other members of the Production Team as required.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Canadian Stage production office.
- Planning, coordinating and executing pick-ups ups and deliveries for the department, using a company or rented vehicle. This position requires regular driving, mainly within the city, but occasionally outside of the local area.
- Responsible for the maintenance and bookings of the production vehicles.
- Working with Netsuite, our financial accounting system, to enter Purchase Orders, contract payments, and to track expenditures.
- Generate contracts for Production Designers, Stage Managers and other various production personnel.
- Assists in managing the facility schedule for all spaces.
- Assists in Coordinating the rentals of the Berkeley Street Theatres.
- Assists in Coordinating the rentals of the Rehearsal hall, lobby spaces & shops.
- Acquire supplies for general operation and maintenance of the Production Department.
- Coordinating, executing and maintaining Production based show archives.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Production and Operations.
Requirements:
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, communicative and multi-tasking management skills.
- Excellent ability to set priorities and meet time deadlines.
- A valid G class (or higher) driver’s license is essential, with a clean driving record. Experience as a driver for work purposes would be an asset.
- Self-starter and creative problem solver.
- Proficient with computers, including spreadsheet programs and accounting processes.
